I have a new story called 'Stump' out today. It was inspired by someone I love and who graciously allowed me to fictionalize his glimmer of hope.
I'm delighted to have a new piece up at Gravel Magazine.
CB Droege of Manawaker Studio read my story, Fever Wish, for the Manawaker Studio podcast and YouTube. I love CB's old timey radio voice. Check it out!

My short story, On Light and Shadow, is available to subscribers at Gamut. I'm very proud of this piece and am positively giddy that it found a home in a venue that has published Steven King.
They do great artwork at Gamut, and the stunning illustration above accompanies my piece.
I have another story out that I wrote in Kathy Fish's flash fiction workshop.
The Broke Bohemian placed Migrations in their summer issue.
My short story, Ephemeral Girls, won Alternating Current's Luminaire Award for best prose for 2017. I'm honored and thrilled.
My story of desert magic and revenge is out now in issue 19 of Devilfish Review.
You can read Red Touches Yellow at devilfishreview.com/issue-nineteen/red-touches-yellow-by-l-l-madrid/.
I'm thrilled to have my story, Reincarnated Clouds, in Third Wednesday Magazine's summer issue! It's extra exciting to have a story out in print.
Here I am reading "Fever Wish," first published in Spirit's Tincture, at Bentley's House of Coffee & Tea in Tucson, Arizona for the Satellite Reading Series.
